Well my sojourn in the P.I. has ended. Interesting place, I can definitely see the Spanish influence on the culture. We started in Angeles city, it reminded me a lot of Tijuana. Nothing but bars, bars, bars, and guys selling various bootleg merchandise (everything from viagra and porn, to stun guns and pistols). We were supposed to head north after this, but a typhoon forced us to go to Subic bay instead (really wanted to head closer to Manila, so I could drop in on Madame Chaing for a drink). This was a bit nicer of an area, we stayed right on the beach (oh, how I missed the sound of the ocean).
All in all, a nice trip. Will definitely have to head back, and see some different parts of the country. Will post some of the photos I took later on.
