It's that time again, when Cupids let fly arrows at innocent folks, when roses are butchered by the thousands, and the colors pink and red are plastered on everything. Yes it's St. Valentine's Day, the one day a year where men are forced to spend money on useless trinkets to show their mate how much they care, or spend the next 4 to 8 weeks in the dog house. Being single on V.Day is even worse, lovey dovey couples everywhere it's enough to make you want to kick a puppy.
Here in Korea, the women give gifts to the men. Interesting twist there, but still the same problems occur.
If you truly love and care for someone, do you really need one specific day to show them? Instead of cards, heart shaped Nick knacks, and some horrible pink and red confections isn't it better to just be with them year round and show your love through actions?

I like the idea of swapping. maybe it should happen on alternate years. But why not make it everyday instead of once a year?
